the moment is interrupted by huening kai lightly hitting your shoulder, trying to pull you off his neck. “y-yn,” but he gets cut off by taehyun, who’s about to drop the snacks he gathered for you guys. “what is going on here…..?” he asks, jaw slack and cheeks flushed in shock. as soon as you hear that almost condescending voice, you pull off, all teary eyed, he just tasted sooo good, and you wanted more. and your eyes snap to meet taehyuns darker ones, but all you can do is give him wide eyes and stutter.

“is our yn.. actually a vampire? who would’ve guessed?” he smirks, practically throwing the food onto his desk and walking over to stand over you. “may i?” he asks, not really letting you respond as his thumb enters your mouth, prying it open so he can see your fangs, his finger tracing around your teeth. “how cute.” he mocks, pulling his thumb away, but not before smudging the excess blood along your lip.

“guys.. it’s n-not what you think-“ you say, face warm with embarrassment. but taehyun cuts you off. “yn, really? because i think i know what it is. hueka, what do you think, should we punish her? she did ruin your perfect skin.” he laughs, eyes drifting over to his friend. “taehyun.. i don’t think that’s necessary.. like- i’m sure she just had to do it.. it’s fine, really..” he says, hand cupping over his neck, “mmm. no. i think we should. yn, go clean the little mess your needy self made, yeah?” his hand gestures toward kai who’s trying to not get blood on taehyuns (presumably expensive) sheets.

you whine with embarrassment as you move back to kai, moving his hand away from his neck, and with a shaky breath, you run your tongue along the wound, cleaning up the leftover blood you couldn’t get, and this practically flips a switch in kai. his large hand starts to pet your head as your clean him up, and in a quiet voice, he mutters to you; “you’re doing so well, yn.”

you pull away, and taehyun, who’s still standing over you, puts his hand on your back, leaning to your ear. “you okay with this?” he asks, you nod, and when you do, he asks the same to kai. “are you?” “mhm-“ hueka responds. “good, because i reallyyyyy wanted to see my best friends fuck. you’re at my house after all. so we do what i want, right? so kai, fuck yn?” taehyun says.

you hated how spoiled he was growing up. sure, it was nice when you didn’t really have money at the mall so he’d buy you some food, and you got a hell of a present for your birthday, sure! but he expected that he got everything he had ever asked for. and everyone obliged..

which is why taehyun is sitting in the corner of his room, on a chair, eyes laser focused on kai pinning your wrists to the bed. “that’s probably a good idea, kai. you don’t know, she could get needy again, keep her in her place…” he says as he snickers, and your face heats up in embarrassment even more, and kai rolls his eyes before smiling at you and mouthing “sorry.”

The Old Default Assets - 1842027 & 1841759 These aren’t pictured, but if you ever see an older tutorial or video showcasing some default brushes you never had, it’s because CSP reworked its default tools around version 1.9.  Fortunately they rerelased them so anyone can redownload them. The old ones are still good to use, they’re just not included.

Thiccpaint - 1707517 Never leave home without it.  I riot if I don’t have them on my computer..  They have the right combination of texture, shape, & blend with great handling and great variety.

Icyannyou's Momo Sets - user:Icyannyou Super cute packs that give a lovely painterly look.  The Storybook pack is fantastic, and even if you don't draw cute you can still use these painters & blenders to give your artwork character. :)

Thick Coating Brush Set - 1683127 I like these for background work, but it's a big pack of thick textured painters with good handling & neat effects.

Marredae's Brushes - user:Marredae This artist has a knack for textured brushes.  Very high rec, fantastic library of wet & dry painting/rendering tools.

Roro Oil - 1820057 Rompi is another user I enjoy the stuff of, and I'll recommend a few more brushes from them in other categories by the time this post is done.  Check 'em out!

Suika chalk -  1760304 Very useful rough chalk.  Sometimes, that’s all you need!

Sprongle -  1935694 A simple round brush with a nice rough tip.  Slightly rough without being too rough, great for quick paintings.

Johnnie halloween pack & Brokenhearted brushes... - 1876075 & 1938786, user:EnjieLemon EnjieLemon has some nice brushes in general, but some are paid for.  Still worth checking out due to their cheap clippy price (and clippy can be obtained for free).  The Brokenhearted brushes have a nice texture.  The Halloween pack includes a cute pumpkin stamp along with some easy to use chalk, oil, & watercolor brushes.  Compact and easy to use!

“Watercolor marker and texture set” - 1682349 There's a reason this set is one of the most downloaded on the asset store.  It's one of the best looking watercolor replicas out there, and even if you don't use the brushes, you can likely still find a use for the textures.  Great for soft coloring.

Grunge Brushes, Soft | Heavy | Complex Brushes & Xenomorphius' stuff in general -  user:xenomorphius Xeno drops some cool natural looking brushes out every so often for painting, inking, and dry media.  Please check 'em out!  The grunge brushes create a fun, grungy look like it says on the pack, & the soft/heavy/complex set can be used for painting as well as lining.  

Oil-h5 trial -  1976418 These brushes are hard to explain.  They work with the dual brush setting, & push around a layer of paint on top of your regular paint, creating a cool, streaky look.  They're a hidden gem.

MYNQZO brushes - 1993875 A pretty darn good set for painting.  I really love rough brush 2, it's great for sketching & rendering.

Write BoruPenP - 1753435 Probably the best ballpoint pen on Clip.  Please check out Pharan's things, I love them.😊

“Pencil-like Brush for Lineart” - 1692270 Ok this is kind of a weird way to recommend something.  It's SUPPOSED to be a pencil but I use it like a paintbrush with the opacity & density on pressure control, & another copy with blending turned on.  Whatever you use it for, you're sure to get a good result!

Grease pencil/china marker - 1774978 Chunky brush for chunky sketching needs.

Muda muda muda - 1715496 A pretty darn good dark pencil.

REDSketch soft - 1907313 just a nice sketcher!  Good for shading too.

MUGZ BRUSH - 1861032 A set of dry chalk & brushes.  Gives a fun messy look when used!

T Spade Pencil - 1769208 A pencil that looks great for lineart as well as sketches.  Good taper.

Gabu Pen - 1894713 Very slightly rough pen on one side, another nice triangle-like liner.

Dimi - 1763877 It's a ga,l with a knife and a nice calligraphy pen.  Can't ask for more. Turn on >particles "change with brush size" in settings to keep the shape without chaning.  

New Cali A nice set of Calligraphy brushes.  They have smooth transitions between big and small.

Noise and texture blur - 1842730 If you want a more painterly look to your blur, get these!  They said they're supposed to be turned from free to paid, but the artist hasn't come back and done it yet.  Will they do it?  I'm not sure. :0

hey! thank you for this :) i answered 3 here, so i’ll take this as an impromptu fic rec opportunity!!

here are 5 of my favorite fics from this year. there are so many more, this is just what’s coming to mind at this moment. here we go:

Harry Potter Gets a Job, by dustmouth, from this year’s Career Fair. every dustmouth comic is so full of expressive detail, and this one is funny and tender and delightful. the characters and settings are so alive and so full of heart. this story has made a permanent home in my chest.

Proven Lands, by @oknowkiss, an incredible archipelago of microfics that loop together into a story that’s visceral and quiet and will leave your heart trying to escape from your chest.

Designate/your love as fate by @elskanellis, from Wireless - the clarity and honesty in this story’s dialogue blew me away. they bare their hearts so simply and it feels vast, like an ocean stretching to the horizon or a field of flowers as far as you can see. I love all of the meaning-making, as they build a marriage ceremony that's very Official but in exactly the way that is meaningful to them.

The Earth From a Distance, by @andthepeople, which I consumed probably without looking up from my screen a single time. this fic will take you by the belt loops and spin you around and shake you up and down and drop you onto your back so your breath gusts out above you and you'll say. again. please. fascinating worldbuilding and gorgeous characterization, just completely captivating.

Lover, Where Do You Live, by @dodgerkedavra, also from Wireless. the force with which harry and draco collide, here, is so powerful that the gestures of their care for each other, both tiny and huge, make such an echo. and everything vibrates with it. these last two both feature one of my absolute favorite dynamics, which is a fast sexual burn in which they see each other so deeply, which is incredibly hot, and then they go around the rest of the time pining as though they’re not completely in love and already fucking about it. good stuff.

We’ve been meeting weekly (more or less) since 2006 to chat about all things Sentinel. We tried a couple of different days and times before settling on Saturdays at 7 pm Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)/19:00 Universal Time Coordinated (UTC). While it’s not ideal for every time zone – it’s very early in the morning in Australia, Japan, and China – it’s the best fit for most, including fans across the International Date Line.

We stay on Greenwich Mean Time/UTC all the time, which means that the time of chat shifts when Daylight Savings Time starts and again when it ends. If we tied it to any other specific time zone, fans in the opposite hemisphere would experience a two-hour shift in start time. It can make things a little confusing, especially when DST has started or ended in some places but not others, but a quick check of a time zone converter will set you straight – just remember that we are ALWAYS at 7 pm GMT, and you can find out when that is where you are.

We meet on Chatzy.com and the link is above. One of the nice things about Chatzy is that the chat remains even after we all leave. If you’d like to come and check things out outside of the regular chat day and time, feel free! But do beware – we get bots coming in and leaving links, usually to porn. I try to clean those up before chat starts, but if you are popping in at an irregular time, you may catch some of them.

We’re usually around for two to three hours, so feel free to drop in at any time and stay as long as you can. Chime in with the conversation or just lurk, anything goes. And we are always happy to revisit a conversation: if we said something interesting twenty minutes previously that you want to follow up on, say something!

Our schedule is as follows:

First Saturday of the month: we watch an episode together. Chatzy has a built-in video program that allows us to watch and chat at the same time. Currently we’re watching the episodes in order; we started with Switchman 63 months ago, and in May we’re going to be finishing up with The Sentinel by Blair Sandburg. In a total coincidence, that’s going to be the 25th anniversary of when that episode aired on UPN, so we’ve got some special plans for that watch.

Second Saturday of the month: we trade off between reading a fic and discussing it one month, and doing concrit the next. For concrit we usually have a prompt, and folks who want to participate write a piece of no more than 1000 words. We upload them to a Google Drive folder and then give feedback during the chat.

Third and Fourth Saturdays of the month: we have various discussion topics. These can range from Jim’s backstory to favorite tropes to Shaman!Blair to what would have happened in a fifth season. They’re meant to start discussion, not limit it, so we don’t adhere to them rigidly, and in fact we often stray. Fic recs are always welcome!

Fifth Saturday of the month: on the rare occasions that we have a fifth Saturday we do Pimp Your Fandom, which is where people talk about what they have been reading or watching recently and why Sentinel fans would enjoy it.
